Another busy weekend ahead
Oct. 19th, 2007 01:10 pmDeb, Alicia and Wendy are headed over later this afternoon to work on another rabbit pen and a few cleaning projects around the house I need a 2nd pair of hands on. I know the gals want to get the Temple moved around and painted, but its just not the priority right now. That said, they are willing volunteers - I'll let myself get outvoted once the important stuff is done.
The big rabbit pen has a brand new watering system, which I forgot to mention yesterday. Its a 3 gallon galvanized poultry waterer, with an optional heater I've ordered (but hasn't come in yet, naturally) to keep the water from freezing. This is a HUGE time saver for me, I'm thrilled. The rabbits are adjusting nicely and enjoying the new hay. I'm considering a pellet feeder system, but will probably hold off - the rabbits really do need to eat as much hay as possible.
DB and Kiya are expected this weekend, so I've another trip to town for margaritas and munchies goodness. I've got two sourdough loaves started, though I really should get a challah going, as well, I'm just too pooped to think about it just yet. We'll likely hit the bookstore tomorrow, which I'm sure the gals will enjoy. Downtown Oak Harbor has few joys this time of year but they'll adore Diane and vice versa and I'll get to show off the windows! I hope to have time to take them to Coupeville (where Practical Magic was filmed).
