Still no eggs. That's beginning to feel a bit like "still not the king". Bernard's courting plumage is becoming startlingly obvious. His head is nearly green, the throat band is beginning to come in and the pale gray feathers are coming in. One of the Rouens may be "turning drake", as it were, as well - speckled gray feathers are appearing on Brutus, too.
Managed to catch up on nearly all the housework yesterday, including a bunch of stain treatments to the carpet. Doodle Bug is very hard on carpet, but then three dogs are, too. Still have about a dozen spots that will need additional work. *sigh*
Another bout of insomnia last night, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I re-arranged all the element altars, essentially stripping them down to the most basic things I felt were needed. Re-did the main altar along the same vein, then moved a few bookcases. Because really, it's not a Trista re-organizing session without furniture moving at 1am! Or was it 2am?
Spent about an hour re-arranging my little sleeping chamber, with Flash napping on the bed in basset disapproval and Gracie hiding in the closet. There's finally *not* too much furniture in there. Brenda and I will tackle Josh's den next week. Expect a bit of howling to ensue.
Brenda is collecting for a Navy family that moved in next door to her. They literally have next to nothing, so we'll be thinning out the dishes, furniture, etc. here and dragging it over next week.
