Friday Featherkid Post - a whole day early
Aug. 4th, 2011 05:03 pmBecause I must lurv on Ruth, here's some burning cuteness.
Despite bribing them shamelessly with produce yesterday, the rabbits are completely unimpressed with their new neighbors. Especially, Martha. Now that's Rabbit Disapproval:

The four Houdinis yesterday before we bribed them with feed:

Lucy(fer) and her 11 ducklings continue to do well, they are growing so fast now. I'm hoping the East Wing pens will be ready for them when they are old enough to be without mamma:

The Blue Swedes continue to stay in East Wing, Pen 3. I think its merely from good manners, though. Noah hasn't arrived yet. *eye roll*

The mottled bantam cochins are doing great. Just about adult-sized now and should be close to laying eggs. Unfortunately, I'm fairly sure two of them are boys.

BOY!

Its a tad obvious. See the guy up front with the big comb? Cockerel. See the warier gal behind him? Pullet.

Grumpus continues to do well in the Bantie barn. He's sure pretty:

Fooz is giving him a few looks, we'll see if those two get together:

Napoleon is finally, at nearly a year old, calming down. He and Wendy make an elegant couple:

Speaking of elegance, Rodrigo is doing very well now that he's got his lady to himself:

Guess what? Chicken butt! The three blue cochin chicks continue to grow. They are at that awkward emu-like stage:

I cannot wait until they are ready for the bigger pens, its so dark and they look oddly "dusty" in there when I used the flash. Must get better pics. Meanwhile, the better view:
