Somewhere between the yard work, redecorating and the hiking, I've seriously aggravated my allergies. So much so I'm toying with the idea of having Deb drive me to the ER, what's holding me back is the knowledge that all they can really do for me is pump me full of steroids. I don't want that. I spent most of my childhood and twenties on steroids. Not the best way to grow up - trust me on this.

So I'm home, drugged out of my mind on anti-histamines and feeling pretty low because we'd planned a fabulous surprise for a very dear friend whom I love, respect and admire and I can't be there for it. So here goes:

Happy Birthday, dbmyrrah. May your day be full of adventure, laughter and the makings of great memories.

P.S. We'll work out something to get your presents to you, I promise.

Yes, presents can keep. Though I'm stuck eating the bread all by myself. Nom nom!

Besides, this gives me a bit more time on something Deb and I haven't finished yet.
