trystinn1. Have you ever considered running away?
Yep, several times. Mostly during my adolescence when Da's drinking was so bad. Finally ran away when I was twenty back to Arizona and spent a year not talking to anyone from my immediate family, even hung up on my mother when she called. I was a brat. My brother ran away twice, one time coming to live with me for a month, which encouraged my sister to do the same. Odd position to be in, living with your siblings with no parents around. Depending on who you ask, I ran away again at 29 when I moved to Washington. If you ask me, I'll tell you I was running TO something, not away from something. I think yuppy kids run away differently than other kids do. We always ran to family.
2. Do you speak a foreign language? Do you have a passport?
Yes, I have a passport, though it still reads my parents home address in the Berkshires, which we're beginning to call the "Family Estate". I've traveled Western Europe (Ireland, England, France, Switzerland, Germany) I'm not fluent in any language other than English, but I do fairly well in Spanish, know enough German to get around Germany for a few months, and can fake my way through Hebrew for Jewish services (enrolled in classes). I can also have a limited conversation in sign language.
3. Right now: do you know which way is east?
Oddly enough, I can. As I'm sitting in my office at the front of our home, I know that the back of my home is due East.
4. How do you like to travel: get up and go, or plan it out?
Oh, I'm definately a planner. Must be the Aquarius thing. I'm trying hard to be more "pick up and go" for the hubby's sake.
5. Do you ask for directions when you are lost, or do you keep on going?
I usually ask for directions. The better question is do I drive myself anywhere I'm likely to get lost? Nope. But I also drive with a compass, maps and a cell phone.
