And the altar progresses

Today Chris poured the riser, so we're that much closer to having an altar. It should harden by Friday, on which he'll place the altar top and secure it. It will take quite a bit of leveling, sanding and then we'll varnish it. We're still naive enough to believe it will be done in time for Friday's full moon ritual here.

Your naive hope that it will be done by then is much better than my not so naive hope that the little foot tall yew shrub I planted today will be a full blown hedge wall by Lughnassad... :p

Sounds good! Although you have little minions you can set to work on it... All I can do is tell little Mike to grow! (Yes, for some reason the yew shrub wanted to be named Mike...) It was cool when I was planting him (for some reason I was possessed to do so in 104*F weather...) I hit this rock a couple times with the shovel and it broke at both ends making it semi flat, and when I pulled it out and rinsed it off it has a bunch of seashells and stuff in it!
