Gabe update - more heat, less treat

trystinnBrenda came over yesterday to give me a hand with the rabbits and ducks. Gabe has successfully made friends with the English Angoras, Winken & Nod. so is now living out in Bunhalla West. She had a marvelous time zipping around, jumping over the boys and generally behaving like a little speed demon. Poor Nod was completely confused trying to keep up with her, since he can only see out of his left eye. Which is fine, because she's in love with Winken. They've been spotted lying nose to nose, grooming each other and generally behaving like love struck teenagers. Thank the Gods all my boy bunnies are already neutered.
The rabbits and ducks are going through a lot of water so I've taken to checking on them every few hours. We're expecting to be in the low 90s until Friday. The weekend should be more pleasant.
The heat is driving me nuts. I've been laying cold, wet towels on them to cool the bassets and hosing Gracie down. Between 10pm and 2am the Chuckleheads (Flash & Doodle) have taken to zooming around the house, playing gladiator bassets and generally making so much noise it's impossible to sleep. Then all three insist on sleeping with me. Now, I love my dogs but there's got to be a better place for them to sleep in this heat!
