It's dreadfully difficult to take a picture of. Without a flash you can see the lights, but nothing else. With the flash, you cannot see the lights!

I'll keep trying, folks. Meanwhile, enjoy!

P.S. Yes, I'm going to wrap some boxes and settle them around the base to hide the prongs.

Our Redneck Yard Menorah is alive and well. :)

Tomorrow I'm going to wrap boxes as presents and put them around the base so it's not so blah.

My old holiday lights were blue icicles. I got blue because the house is blue. I figured it went well with the house. My neighbors thought we were Jewish because we had blue lights. Well, with a last name like Morgenstern I guess they should think so... still, we have colored lights now. Just have to put the hooks back up on the house- they got removed when we painted.

Tell them it used to be Morgenstein, in the old country. :)

to take a long exposure and not get funky camera shake at night you need a tripod. So you can take a photo of the lights, it just requires messing around with some shit.

Does your camera have different settings? If so, look for a sunset, fireworks, candlelight, etc type setting. Night portrait is bad because it will still flash lol. If your camera has that, put it on that, then set the camera on a tripod, or a solid surface like a table or chair, point, aim, and click carefully, or set the timer first :)

That is holiday awesomeness. I can only imagine that it's even better with the lights.
