Believe it or not, most of those changes came from user requests. Right click on the ribbon at the top, and you can add pretty much whatever functions you want to it.

Software design by committee of "concerned citizens" kind of thing? Ugh. That explains so much.
I suspect I'll get used to it, but right now it's the most illogical thing I've used since IBM System 36.
