I thought the bunny swimming was really cute. Now, you know that there's no way the bunnies were harmed or endangered to make that commercial because various groups would be up Travelers tailpipe ultra-quick.
Even cats will swim if put to it. Some of them even like it.
I don't suppose the bunny Nazis have noticed how many people have been blown to bits in Baghdad this week?
Probably not. In Lagamorph Land we're busy trying to find rescue and foster homes for rabbit mill rabbits and seizures. Lots of teenagers whining about their unaltered rabbits nipping them and going off to college without their precious buns. Another idiot rescued a baby cottontail and wants to bond it with her domestics...almost as insane as any pagan community on LJ.
My rabbits adore playing in the tub and swimming, but I'm sure my weirdness has rubbed off on them. Right now, they're oozed out in large fur piles in the sun.
*grumps* Scotch would nip and hump my hand... and you know I what I did? I took his balls off.
Lookie! Problem solved!
Out of curiosity, have you ever given your buns a bath? Scotch made a mess, of everything, including himself, and I wanted to wash everything, including him.
Oh yeah, several times a year. Most notably this past winter in November. The Twins like to stand under the running water, Nod likes to hang out at the shallow end.
My recommendation: Fill the tub a few inches with water safe enough for your wrist, since their skin is very delicate. Slowly lower the bun in the water, wet your hand and pet your bun until they calm down. Treats help, too. Mine like to bop around in the water, stand under the faucet, etc.
Put a tiny bit of soap on your hand, wet it and give their nethers a quick cleaning. Check for clingons. Make sure no water gets down their ears, a friend of mine does pretty well with a cottonball but her buns are notoriously tolerant.
